Veleta is on our farm just outside Linlithgow. It's one of five cottages. You're out in the fields, but it's handy for the M9.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept, with underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump. There's also a wood burner for the evenings.
The living area is open plan. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in a utility room. You can park right outside and there's an electric vehicle charger.
Being on a farm, there's about three kilometres of grassy tracks to walk on. You can bring one dog. There's plenty of space in the outbuildings to store bikes.
The local inn is a five minute walk. For more choice, Linlithgow is three miles away. It's a nice town with a train station. Trains to Edinburgh take about fifteen minutes.
Linlithgow Palace is right there in the town. For other days out, Hopetoun House and the House of the Binns are close by. Stirling Castle is about half an hour's drive. Edinburgh airport is fifteen minutes from the motorway junction.
You're well placed to go in different directions. You can head over the Forth bridges into Fife, or west towards the Trossachs, all within an hour.
