Veleta is on our farm just outside Linlithgow. It's one of five cottages here. The farm's still working, so you'll see tractors about sometimes.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The heating is from a ground source heat pump, which is very efficient. There's also a wood burner in the living area if you fancy a fire.
The layout is open plan downstairs. The stairs are fine. There are grab rails in one of the bathrooms. Outside, you've got your own patio and garden area. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.
You're welcome to bring one well-behaved dog. There are about three kilometres of grassy tracks around the farm fields that are good for walks right from the door. There's an outbuilding for storing bikes or muddy boots.
The local inn is about a five minute walk away. Linlithgow is three miles from here. That's where you'll find the main shops, more places to eat, and the train station. Trains to Edinburgh take about fifteen minutes. Glasgow is about twenty-five minutes by train.
By car, you're half a mile from the M9. Edinburgh airport is fifteen minutes away. Stirling is about half an hour.
For things to do, Linlithgow Palace is the big one locally. Hopetoun House and the House of the Binns are also close by. The coast at South Queensferry is about fifteen minutes drive. If you want to go further, you can easily get to the Trossachs, Perthshire, or Fife.
The cottage has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
