Falcon Cottage

Falcon Cottage is on our family farm between Bo'ness and Linlithgow. It's a new build, finished in late 2021. It's detached, so it's just you in the house and garden.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two have king-size beds, one of those can be split into two singles if you need it. There are two bathrooms, one is en-suite. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and in good order.

The main room has a wood burner and views over the fields towards Linlithgow. The kitchen is open plan with the dining area. It has a dishwasher and a utility room with a washer and dryer off the back, which is handy for muddy boots. The floor there is tiled.

You're on a working farm, so you'll see tractors and the like coming and going sometimes. The garden is a good size, fully enclosed. There's parking right outside.

Linlithgow is about five minutes by car. It's got a high street with shops, a couple of supermarkets, and plenty of places to eat. The palace there is run by Historic Environment Scotland. Bo'ness is closer, just down the hill. It's got a railway museum and the coast.

Falkirk is about fifteen minutes away. That's where you'll find the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. Both are worth a visit.

For a day out, Edinburgh or Glasgow are roughly half an hour's drive. Stirling, with the castle, is about forty minutes. You can get to the southern edge of Loch Lomond in about an hour.

Practical things: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. There's an electric vehicle charger. The property is wheelchair accessible. No pets, sorry.
