The Wheelhouse
The Wheelhouse is on a private track down by the River Avon, near Linlithgow. It's a detached place, the old watermill building. It sleeps four across two bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the river. You can see it from the verandahs, and you can hear it. There's a hot tub on the patio if you want that. You can fish for trout from the bank there.
It's down a track, so it's quiet. You'll need a car. Linlithgow itself is about four miles away for shops and things. The train station there gets you into Edinburgh in about 20 minutes or so, which is easier than driving in.
There's a local pub within a couple of miles. The area is good for walking and cycling, and there's storage for bikes. Golf and horse riding are nearby if you're into that.
Facilities wise: it's got a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, there's WiFi and parking. You can bring up to two dogs. They've decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
