The Bothy
The Bothy is in Polmont, Stirlingshire. It's one of six places in the walled garden of Kinneil House. This one's at the back, with its own patio.
It's a 4 Star place, sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, but one's an attic den. You get a super king bed in the main room downstairs. Upstairs is a twin room, but you reach it by a fixed ladder. Because of that ladder, it's not suitable for children under 8.
The main space is circular with a high ceiling. It's open plan, so the living area, kitchen, and the doors to the bedroom and shower room are all in that one round room. The shower room has a shower, no bath.
Outside, you have the patio and a BBQ. You can wander around the shared walled garden. You'll see birds and other wildlife in there. It's quiet.
Location is handy. You're about five minutes walk from a supermarket, a couple of pubs, and some takeaways. A two-minute walk the other way gets you into woodland on the line of the Antonine Wall. Edinburgh airport is about fifteen minutes by car. Edinburgh and Glasgow city centres are roughly half an hour away, depending on traffic.
For days out, the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel are very close. The edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is under 40 minutes' drive. For beaches, Blackness is about 10 miles, Silverknowes is 22.
It has parking on site. Everything like bedding, towels, electricity, and wifi is included. There's a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets allowed.
