It's called Ledi Lodge, near Linlithgow. It's a detached cottage, so you're not sharing walls with anyone. It's on a park, but it's quiet and looks out over trees and fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one is a double and one has two single beds. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, modern but not fancy. The living area is all open plan.
The best thing is the view from the big windows and the deck. You sit out there with a coffee and just watch the trees. It's very peaceful.
There's a kids' playhouse and a laundry room on the park, which is handy. The entrance is step-free and the shower is walk-in.
Linlithgow itself is about ten minutes by car. The palace is right there by the loch. The coast is five miles away if you want a beach. For a bigger day out, Edinburgh is about twenty minutes in the car. You can get the train from Linlithgow too, which is easier than driving in. Falkirk is fifteen minutes away for the Kelpies and the Wheel.
It's a good base. You've got the Linlithgow Palace on your doorstep, and Linlithgow Loch for a walk. Further afield, you're close to the Falkirk Wheel and not far from Stirling.
In terms of what's here: the kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's underfloor heating in the living room and panel heaters elsewhere. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
