Mayflower

This is the Mayflower cottage. It's in Linlithgow, West Lothian. It's on a working farm with a livery yard, so you'll see horses.

The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. Two are king size beds, one is a twin. One of the king rooms is on the ground floor.

It's open plan inside. The living area looks out the back over the garden and fields towards the town. There's a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and a table for six. It's well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and in good order.

You're about five minutes from Junction 3 of the M9. Linlithgow train station is close, with regular trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Edinburgh is about a 20 minute drive or a 15 minute train ride.

Linlithgow itself has a high street with shops and pubs. The palace is there too, run by Historic Environment Scotland. For walks, the Union Canal path goes right through town.

Within half an hour you can be in central Edinburgh. The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel are about 20 minutes away. The coast at South Queensferry, for the Forth bridges, is about a 25 minute drive.

In terms of facilities, bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. It's wheelchair accessible. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
