Speed The Plough is on our farm just outside Linlithgow. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms. The good thing is they all have their own bathroom, so nobody's queuing. Two bedrooms are upstairs, one with twin beds and one with a kingsize. There's another kingsize bedroom on the ground floor.
It's an open plan living area at the back, looking over the garden and fields towards the town. There's a wood burning stove for cool evenings. The kitchen has all the usual stuff, and a dishwasher. The dining table fits six.
Being on a farm, you'll see horses and general farm activity. We have a livery yard here too, so if you want to bring your own horse, we can arrange full livery. Just ask beforehand.
The location is handy. You're half a mile from the M9, so Edinburgh is about 20 minutes by car if the traffic's alright. Linlithgow train station has quick services to Edinburgh and Glasgow too.
Linlithgow itself has the palace and loch. Good for a walk. For a bigger day out, Edinburgh is obviously close. The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel are about a 20 minute drive. The coast at South Queensferry, for the bridges, is maybe 25 minutes.
In terms of facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV. The garden is enclosed. We have a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. There's an electric vehicle charger. You can bring one well-behaved dog. All bedding and towels are included.
