The Boathouse
The Boathouse is in Polmont, near Falkirk. It's one of six holiday places in the walled garden of Kinneil House. It's detached, by a small pond. You cross your own little bridge to get to it.
It sleeps four. There's one bedroom upstairs, which you get to via a spiral staircase. Two more people can sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge area. One bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's new and clean. The kitchen is small but has what you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. There's parking right there.
The garden is shared. There's a hot tub you can book slots for, and barbecue areas. It's quiet. You'll see rabbits and birds.
The location is the main thing. You're two minutes from woods and the Antonine Wall for a walk. Falkirk is close for shops. You can be in central Edinburgh or Glasgow in about half an hour by car. The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel are a short drive away. The coast at Blackness is about twenty minutes. If you want to go further, the edge of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park is under forty minutes.
You can bring up to two dogs. The WiFi works fine.
