Wye View Cottage
Wye View Cottage is on the bank of the River Wye in Ross. You walk straight out from the lower ground floor onto a little path by the water. You can hear the river from the house.
It sleeps four. Two good-sized bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one down at garden level. Both have their own bathrooms. The one downstairs has a freestanding bath. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable, not just basic. It's on three floors, so there are stairs. They're not a problem, but you should know they're there.
The living space is all upstairs on the first floor. It's open plan, kitchen, dining, and sitting area. There's a balcony with a table and chairs that looks right over the river. It gets the sun in the morning. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
For things to do: you're right on the Wye Valley Walk. You can step out the door and go left or right. In town, which is a five-minute walk uphill, there are a few pubs, shops, and a supermarket. Canoes can be hired locally if you want to go on the water.
A short drive gets you to Symonds Yat for the famous view, or Goodrich Castle. The Forest of Dean is about twenty minutes away for walking and cycling. Hereford is half an hour by car.
