The seaside borough of Newport, overlooked by its Norman castle, has a boat club and two beaches. There are award winning restaurants, cafés, pubs, bank, post office, library with internet access, great butchers, antique and health food shops to explore. The tidal estuary is paradise for bird watchers and for golfers, there is a challenging links golf course.
