Milford Haven is a busy little town overlooking the Cleddau Waterway. The once-thriving docks have been replaced with a picturesque marina with boutique shops and upmarket restaurants, offering freshly-caught fine dining with delightful views. Moored boats and transatlantic liners are known to pop by this enterprising harbour town and the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right through the town, so you’re ideally located to start a day’s hiking from here. The award-winning theatre has a fantastic cinema, restaurant, and bar, and is a great place to spend rainy days at the cinema or decadent evening watching plays. There’s also a bowling alley along the waterfront for kid-friendly activities, as well as supermarkets for stocking up on essentials. The maritime and heritage museum is well worth a visit, showcasing the rich history of Britain’s most ancient port with an interesting audio trail and displays explaining the varied occupation of port workers over decades of transformation.
