Come and immerse yourself in all the delights of Alma Cottage, set in the quaint fishing village of Solva on the beautiful, rugged Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. This traditional, dog-friendly, fisherman’s cottage dating back to the 1800s has been sympathetically restored to a boutique bolt-hole for you to escape to, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Ideally located for strolls to the harbour, wonderful coastal walks and ideal for couples or small families in the heart of Solva with distant sea views. Beautifully appointed with the original charms offering a boutique feel for your Pembrokeshire escape. Located in a quiet row of tiny terraces, this cottage is a short stroll to the restaurants and pubs of Solva and was meticulously restored in 2020 and fitted out with reclaimed doors, bespoke furnishings and luxury bedding. This tiny cottage is truly charming. Step into the simple cosy space created by the open plan lounge and kitchen, with small utility room at the back plus wonderful bedroom with the addition of another bedroom with trundle bed, original features and floorboards upstairs, with sash windows and views of the sea. Ideal for romantic breaks - or small families - created to give a modern twist to Solva charm.
Here you can enjoy a real Pembrokeshire experience and a house you will dearly fall in love with. Solva can be explored on foot from your holiday home and boasts a picture postcard harbour, galleries, restaurants specialising in locally caught sea food, and even a village shop for your essentials. Be sure to bring your camera for some fantastic coastal views out across the St Brides Bay! Just a 10-minute drive away lies the famous city of St David’s, Britain’s smallest city, at the most westerly point of Wales. It boasts a 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of the Bishop’s Palace that you can explore. There are also many art galleries and gift shops, as well as a good choice of restaurants and traditional pubs specialising in local produce. From here you can take a trip to Ramsey Island and take a sea safari expedition around the offshore island, cruising close to seabirds, seals and the occasional bottle nose dolphin - a fantastic day out.
