The Old Stables

Castle Farm Cottages are nestled on the foothills of the Preseli Mountains, on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with uninterrupted views across Llys y Fran reservoir and the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside.
These two beautiful cottages, The Old Stables and Castle Farm, are part of the owner’s working sheep farm. The Old Stables was once the home of the resident horse and offers the perfect base to explore this unspoilt area and has been finished to a very good standard throughout and boasts two en-suite bathrooms. Llys Y Fran country park is located a 10 minute drive away and offers lots for children and adults to keep busy with a plethora of walks, fishing, open water swimming, SUP, Kayaks, Canoes and adventure playground. The property is approached along a private lane and as you arrive, you can really appreciate the stunning views. This pretty stone cottage entices you inside. Set all on one level with a very high standard of fixtures and fittings throughout, the bright open plan kitchen, dining and living room offers a great social space and perfect for cooking that special meal, French doors lead out onto the courtyard area with beautiful mountain views. The well-equipped kitchen area is ideal for cooking up a storm or preparing a packed lunch for you day ahead exploring. Both bedrooms have been elegantly finished throughout and enjoy en-suite shower facilities with underfloor heating throughout the property. The Old Stables is a few hundred yards from the rural hamlet of Tufton and lying centrally between the towns of Haverfordwest and the market town of Cardigan, they both offer a plethora of eateries, crafts and galleries to discover.
Locally you will find a host of walks, hikes, biking, fishing and kayaking. A 35 minute drive away is the coastal resort of Tenby, surrounded by medieval walls built to fortify the town and are still in place to this very day, complete with arches into the town leading to cobbled streets and the beautiful harbour. The beach has won numerous awards with golden sand and turquoise waters, ideal for sunbathing, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Beach 9 miles.
The Old Stables can be booked together with Castle Farm to accommodate up to 6 guests.
