Chestnut Cottage
Chestnut Cottage is one of twelve holiday cottages on the Nutley Edge estate near Horney Common. It's a timber-clad cottage, sleeps four, has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. You can bring two dogs.
There's a fenced seating area out the back with a table and chairs. The whole estate has about 11 acres of land to walk around, including some woodland. There's a small play area for children.
The facilities are what you'd expect: TV, wifi, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's a BBQ you can use.
Nutley village is close by with a shop and places to eat. For a bigger supermarket, you'd drive to Uckfield, which takes about 15 minutes.
It's right on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. Good for walks straight from the door. For a day out, Sheffield Park and Garden is nearby. Scotney Castle is a bit further. If you're after activity, Bewl Water is about a 30 minute drive for watersports.
The estate is owned by a charity called Outward. Any profit from your stay goes to their work.
All twelve cottages can be booked together for a group, like for a wedding. They sleep 50 in total. You'd need to call the booking team to arrange that.
