Ash Cottage
Ash Cottage is on the Nutley Edge estate near Horney Common. It's a single-storey mews cottage, so everything's on one level. That's useful if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring two.
The estate itself is about eleven acres. There's ancient woodland and a stream. You can walk around the grounds. It's quiet.
There's a pub about a mile and a quarter away. Nutley village is close for basics. For a big supermarket, you'd drive to Uckfield, which takes about fifteen minutes.
You're right on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. Good for walking straight out. For a day out, Sheffield Park and Garden is nearby. Scotney Castle is a bit further. If you want activity, Bewl Water is about a twenty minute drive for watersports and fishing.
The cottage has the things you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there.
One thing to know is the estate is owned by a charity called Outward. The profits from your stay go towards their work, which is helping disadvantaged people.
