Hawthorn is a cottage on the Nutley Edge estate near Horney Common. It's part of a group of twelve, mostly traditional cottages with a couple that are wheelchair accessible. The estate is run by a charity called Outward, so the money from your stay goes towards their work.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring two.
There's a decent sized living room and a patio area with a nice view. You've got access to about eleven acres of shared grounds to walk around. You might see sheep.
Nutley village is close by for shops and a bite to eat. For a bigger supermarket, you'd drive to Uckfield, which takes about fifteen minutes.
You're right on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. Good for walks straight from the door. For a day out, Sheffield Park and Garden is nearby. Bewl Water is about a twenty minute drive for watersports. Royal Tunbridge Wells is roughly half an hour away.
In terms of what's here: there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
All the cottages can be booked together for a big group, like for a wedding. You'd need to call to arrange that.
