Honeypot Cottage is on our vineyard near Fletching in East Sussex. It's my place, and I live in the house next door. You come in through security gates and it's very quiet here.
The cottage is detached and sleeps four, but it's all one big room really. There's a separate bedroom with two single beds and its own shower room. The main space is open plan, with the kitchen, a dining area, and living area with a sofa bed. It's big. The whole place is level inside, no steps, so it's suitable if you have mobility issues.
You're welcome to use the tennis court just outside. There's plenty of parking and space for bikes.
You can walk to Fletching village from here, across the fields. It's about a mile. There's a shop and cafe, and the Griffin Inn pub which is good. The footpath starts at the bottom of the vineyard.
For other things to do, Piltdown Golf Club is a few minutes down the road. The National Trust's Sheffield Park is about ten minutes by car, and so is the Bluebell Railway. Ashdown Forest is close by for walking.
The south coast is about 35 minutes away if you want the sea, at places like Birling Gap.
Facilities are all included. There's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and all bedding and towels. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
