Mallingdown Farm
Mallingdown Farm is on Down Street in East Sussex. It's a converted oast house on a working farm. It's next to our house, but you have your own space.
It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four. One bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean.
The main living area is upstairs on a gallery floor. It feels quite light and open. It looks out over the fields.
Downstairs in the kitchen there's a big granite island. The underfloor heating runs on an air source heat pump.
You get a small private terrace. There's also a grassed area you can use, past our garden, with views over the land.
Parking is for two cars behind the oast house, in the stable yard. You can use the shared tennis court if you want.
Facilities are straightforward. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, Sky TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. No pets I'm afraid.
For things to do, the South Downs National Park is on the doorstep. Lewes is about a 20 minute drive. Brighton is roughly half an hour. National Trust places like Bateman's or Bodiam Castle are within a 30 minute drive.
