Pasture View is in Startforth, about two miles from Barnard Castle. It's an old stone building, it used to be a farmer's workshop. It's detached, so no one's attached to you. You get the whole place and the garden to yourself.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well, it's comfortable. The stairs are fine.
There's a sun porch on the front. It's a good spot to sit in the evening. The living room has a wood burner and doors out to the patio. The kitchen has what you need. Some of the furniture is hand-painted, and there's some original art on the walls. It gives it its own character.
Out the back, there's a path through the fields that goes into Barnard Castle. It follows the Deepdale river then the Tees. It's a nice walk, about forty minutes.
Barnard Castle has shops, cafes, and a weekly market. The Bowes Museum is there, and the castle ruins. High Force waterfall is about a twenty minute drive. Raby Castle is close too. For a bigger day out, Durham city is under forty minutes away. The Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennines are on the doorstep.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. There's an electric vehicle charger. Sorry, no pets.
