These two well-appointed, detached holiday bungalows are set in a quiet area in the village of Talybont, a picturesque coastal village nestled between the popular tourist areas of Barmouth and Harlech in the Snowdonia National Park. Trefechan is adjacent to the owner’s home, and Ger Y Coed is just slightly further along the road, both are conveniently located with easy access to the beach for families and close to the local amenities. There is a dog-friendly beach just ½ mile away, and a local inn, with a children’s play area, just 500 yards away serving ales and home cooked food. The area is also a great base for visitors who want to explore north Wales with good road networks to Porthmadog and the Italianate village of Portmeirion, the Llyn Peninsula, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Snowdon and Coed Y Brenin. There are many visitor attractions nearby including Harlech Castle which was built by Edward I and now a World Heritage Site, the imposing mountain of Cader Idris, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, the delightful Talyllyn Railway, Go Ape, Zipworld and Bounce Below. Golf courses can also be found in Harlech and Dolgellau and there is horse riding nearby, so whatever your age, there’s something here for you. Just a 2-minute walk from the properties there is a beautiful woodland walk up alongside the Ysgethin River, ideal for dog walking and immersing yourself with the wildlife. The location is also perfect for mountain biking, and walking enthusiasts can explore the Mawddach Trail. Beach ½ miles. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
