You will also find the utility room next door with a deep sink and washer/dryer, ensuring that whatever the weather you’re ready to strike out each day. With all the rooms on the ground floor, the cottage is perfect for all the family. There is a kingsize double bedroom, a twin bedroom and two excellent walk-in shower rooms. The patio with its outdoor dining table and sitting area can be accessed directly from the south-facing living room.
This area of Wales is an outdoors enthusiast’s paradise with many walking routes. Furnace is surrounded by beautiful rural lands. The village is named after the furnace which was originally constructed around 1755 for smelting iron ore, with fuel obtained from local woods and stored upstairs in the building. Just down the road is Ynyslas which is part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve, situated midway between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. The Dyfi Osprey Project is one of Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship projects based on our Cors Dyfi Reserve on the west coast of mid Wales and is a great place to visit and take the whole family.

This is a wonderful location for walking, mountain biking and water sports with the Ceredigion coastline, including the Ynys Las sand dunes and seaside resort of Borth, a short drive away.
