Dant y Llew is a luxurious two-bedroom house, renovated in 2023, nestling among a complex of former farm buildings known as Pennau Cottages in the village of Bow Street. Set within a courtyard with private parking – no stressing over where to leave the car! – Dant y Llew is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style while retaining many of the building’s original features. There are also bike racks for keen cyclists to leave their bikes.
Discover your inner Gordon Ramsey in the modern open plan kitchen/diner before relaxing in the sumptuously furnished living room featuring original beams and stone features harking back to the building’s past. A hallway leads to a ground floor shower and utility area, and continuing upstairs you’ll find two spacious double bedrooms, one of which can be used as a twin – ideal for families looking for a relaxing break. Outside, you’ll find a private seating area with a private hot tub to relax in after exploring this beautiful part of Mid Wales. The complex of buildings also incorporates an award-winning Welsh craft and coffee shop serving delicious homemade food, including breakfast, lunches and cakes – make sure to book a table and indulge yourself during your stay!
Dant y Llew is the perfect base to sample the natural delights of Mid Wales. Marvel at the spectacular scenery of Cardigan Bay as you stroll along the Wales coastal path or explore some of the woodland walks and the stunning sandy beaches of Borth and Ynyslas, just 3 miles away. About a 20-minute walk away, at the other end of the village, you’ll find a train station taking you in to the nearby university town of Aberystwyth or up along the Welsh coastline where you can explore the beaches and castles steeped in Welsh history.
There are also excellent bus links into Aberystwyth, the historic market town of Machynlleth to the north or the pretty harbour towns of Aberaeron and New Quay to the South, where you might be lucky enough to see dolphins playing in the waters of Cardigan Bay. But if you find it too difficult to tear yourself away from the chill-out charms of your accommodation, Bow Street itself has two pubs, a Spar convenience store as well as a chip shop and a Chinese takeaway restaurant. So, whether you want to explore and discover or just kick back and relax, Dant y Llew is the perfect place to make family memories to treasure for a lifetime!
