Glenara

Glenara has been renovated to a very high standard in 2022. The apartment was named Glenara after a ship of that name captained in the 1860’s by Benjamin Davies of Portland House. As part of the restoration of Portland House, one of Aberaeron’s most iconic houses, the garden floor flat was turned into a separate property called Glenara.
This luxury property has underfloor heating throughout and Georgian style shuttered windows. It has been tastefully decorated and has local contemporary art hanging on the walls . This apartment has everything you need for a romantic break away by the sea, and includes a lovely open plan living space, great for those cosy nights in. A fabulous master bedroom with huge en-suite offers the choice of either bath or a walk-in shower. Should you wish to take your coffee outside on a morning then the bi-folding doors in the dining room will open up to the small sitting-out area. The harbour and beaches are just a few minutes walk away.
Aberaeron is a Georgian jewel with elegant colour-washed houses surrounding the harbour - reputedly planned and designed by John Nash, with a shingle beach. There is a range of small, interesting shops, craft centres, pubs and fabulous restaurants – perfect for foodies. Nearby Cardigan Bay has lots to see and do in and around the town. With two beaches to enjoy, good launching for small boats from the harbour, boat trips to spot the marine life including dolphins, sea angling, fishing for salmon/sea trout on the river Aeron or take a cycle ride along one of the 5 Wales Cycle Trails. Why not take a stroll along’ Lover’s Walk’ past four weirs and along the river valley to Llanachaeron or try a coastal cliff top walk with stunning sea views and spectacular wildlife.
