Morva is a lovely detached holiday cottage set in an elevated position with stunning far reaching views over Cardigan Bay, but just a short walk from the harbour and the sandy beach. Decorated and furnished to a high standard, it is very conveniently placed for all local shops, pubs and restaurants and lies near West Wales’ Cardigan Bay Coastal Path, a place where dolphins and porpoises are often seen. Quaint New Quay was once a smuggling port, a busy ship-building centre and a thriving commercial port until the late 19th century. Today you will see fishing boats and dolphin survey trips departing from the harbour and it is still one of Wales’ most popular sailing centres. The Heritage Coastline of Cardigan Bay is littered with beautiful coves and beaches waiting to be explored, such as Cwmtydu, Llangrannog, Penbryn and Tresaith, all within an easy drive. Close by is New Quay Honey Farm, with its tea rooms and shop selling honey and beeswax. The Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron with an array of coloured houses, chic shops, restaurants and cafés is also well worth a visit . The popular resort of Aberystwyth with its long promenade and pier is 45 minutes’ drive away and from here you can take the Vale of Rheidol steam railway to Devil’s Bridge and waterfalls. Whatever the season, there is so much on offer for all ages in this beautiful area of Wales and Morva is the perfect base from which to enjoy it. Shop and pub 200 yards.
