Ty Bychan has been tastefully furnished to provide an inviting holiday cottage, perfect for couples or a small family wanting to discover this fascinating part of North Wales. With far-reaching rural views, you can delight in the open-plan living area, boasting a rustic yet contemporary feel. The red brick breakfast bar adds character to the room, with a well-equipped kitchen to follow, and a sitting area with a wood burner for those cosy nights on the sofa. Wake up to a lovely view of the mountains from both the master double bedroom and the single bedroom. Outside the property there is a small area with a stone bench where you can sit and enjoy the mountain views. Steam train fanatic? This cottage is ideally located near Ffetinog Steam Railway station.

You’re within walking distance to all the amenities you’ll need, from places to eat, takeaways and a grocery store. With good transport links available, you could quite simply park up and relax. This really is a fantastic village to explore the region from. Situated just on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, and just outside Porthmadog a busy harbour town less than 3 miles away, home to the famous Welsh Highland Railway. You’re within walking distance of Portmeirion, an enchanting Italian-style village. The famous Black Rock Sands is only a short drive away, where you’ll find miles of sweeping sands and dunes. Harlech is within easy reach, with its imposing UNESCO World Heritage Castle. From stunning walking routes, bike trails, and a whole host of water sports on offer, there’s mountains and miles of coastline to explore; the area really does have something for everyone of all ages and interests.
