Beudy Newydd
Beudy Newydd is now unrecognisable from its original humble beginnings as the old cow shed. Beautifully renovated with original beams in the kitchen it is now a highly desirable rural retreat. The property is located about a thousand feet above sea level with views of the rolling hills and mountains from the living room and garden.
The accommodation comprises a kitchen/dining room which feels light and airy due to the high beamed ceiling, contemporary yet subtle lighting and a neutral colour scheme. The open plan layout leads through to the living room where furnishings are stylish and comfortable. A wood burner is just waiting for kindling to be lit on a cold winter evening. The first bedroom is accessed from the right of the kitchen and has two windows, a double bed, a television and en-suite facilities. The second bedroom is accessed from the left of the kitchen via a small step and has a double bed and bunk beds. There is a very pretty little feature window here high up in the wall. The main bathroom is light and attractive with a shower over bath, toilet and basin. Heated towel rails are provided in both bathrooms. The owner has built in unobtrusive speakers throughout the property so that music may be listened to wherever you are. A complimentary welcome pack comprising milk, eggs, tea and bread will be provided.
There are numerous public footpaths for walkers to enjoy and a section of the North Wales cycle route cuts through Llanllechid. In around ten minutes you may drive to Penryhn Castle owned by the National Trust with its grand rooms and attractive gardens. Or if you prefer a little retail therapy the City of Bangor is a further five minutes away. Ask for the quick route to Aber Falls and you could be at the start of a really nice and not too arduous walk in about 15 minutes to see the waterfall. Nice tea rooms! Slightly further afield there are numerous attractive places to visit both seaside and hillside. If you want to feel really rural yet able to reach a vast array of tourist destinations, this is the place to be. Beach 5 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub 1¼ miles and restaurant 2¼ miles.
Beudy Newydd can be booked together with Y Gorlan to accommodate up to 10 guests.
