Nyth Cariad (Love Nest)

Nyth Cariad, meaning ‘love nest’ in Welsh, was inspired by St Dwynwen, Wales’s patron saint for lovers. The charming cottage reflects the taste of the Anglo-American owners, with clapperboard exterior walls, whitewashed floorboards, and beams, providing a touch of Cape Cod with its seashore atmosphere. Walk up the steps to the first-floor entrance and be greeted by the cosy living area, with wood burner, fairy lights along beams, and an eclectic mix of decorations, which combine to give the property its romantic charm.
There are 2 decked balconies for sunbathing or alfresco barbecues, with gorgeous views across open fields, woodlands, and Snowdonia’s dramatic mountain range. On the lower floor, there is a charming bedroom with an adjoining bathroom and desk area.
Nyth Cariad is perfect for snuggling down after a day exploring the beautiful surroundings. This is a special location from which to explore some exceptionally lovely places, great walks, or cycle rides.
Trefdraeth is a loveable little village surrounded by fields and country lanes, and less than 2 miles from the nearest beach. The iconic Rhosneigr beach is also just 8 miles away, which also offers surf lessons.
The neighbouring village of Bethel contains a great corner shop selling fresh produce and cupboard essentials, while there are several cafes, restaurants, and food-serving pubs within a 10-minute drive.
The property sits just 5 minutes from the A55, which traverse the centre of the island, making it a great base to discover the multitude of sandy beaches, old harbours, and numerous activities on offer.
