Allt Du

Allt Du is our place near Llanddewi Brefi. It’s a detached house, so you’re not sharing any walls. It was all done up in 2021 so everything is new and works properly. It has a 5 Star rating which means it’s fitted out well.

It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms and four bathrooms, so sharing shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. We can take two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you’ve got them with you.

The house is on a hillside, so the views are over fields. It’s a quiet spot. Tregaron is a couple of miles down the road. It’s a proper small Welsh town with a few independent shops. There’s a good pub on the square that does food.

If you like walking, you’re in the right place. The town is part of the ‘Walkers are Welcome’ scheme. Cors Caron, the big bog nature reserve, is just outside Tregaron. You can walk the boardwalks there and see red kites. The Cambrian Mountains are all around for more serious walks.

The coast is about half an hour’s drive. Aberystwyth has the pier and the castle, and you can get the steam train to Devil’s Bridge from there. Aberaeron is nice for a wander around the coloured harbour houses. New Quay is a bit further but it’s a classic little fishing harbour.

In terms of what’s here: it’s all the stuff you’d expect for a big group. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There’s parking right outside. We provide bedding and towels. There’s a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. The entrance and a shower room are wheelchair accessible.

Useful links for planning: Visit Wales and National Trust Wales for general ideas. For the local area, Ceredigion County Council has good tourism pages. If you’re heading to Cors Caron, check Natural Resources Wales for the reserve details.
