Gelli Hir is a semi-detached cottage near Blaenpennal. It's in the middle of its own land, about ten acres. There are two lakes in the grounds. The garden's yours to use, with a patio and some furniture.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms: one double and two singles. One shower room. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's an open plan living area with a kitchen and a gas stove that looks like a wood burner. Separate utility room with a washing machine. Wifi and a smart TV are there.
You can bring one dog. The grounds are secure but it's not fully fenced everywhere, so you'd need to keep an eye on them near the lakes.
Tregaron is about three miles for a shop. There's a pub there called Y Talbot that does food. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Aberystwyth.
The location is quiet. You're really here for the space and the views. Cors Caron, the big bogland nature reserve, is just down the road. They've got a good boardwalk for an easy walk. You can get onto the Ystwyth Trail from there too, which is a flat cycle path on an old railway line.
If you want waterfalls and rougher walks, Devil's Bridge is about half an hour's drive. The Hafod Estate, which is National Trust, is in that direction too. The coast is about forty minutes. Aberaeron and New Quay are nice. Aberystwyth has the pier and a longer beach. The whole coastal path is there if you want a proper walk.
