Bwthyn Derwen

Bwthyn Derwen is on our farm just outside Pontrhydfendigaid. It's one of three barns we've done up. They're all next to each other, but you've got your own space. The farm is 140 acres of sheep and beef.

It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. Everything is on one level, so there are no stairs. The main room is open plan with a high ceiling and a wood burner. There's a hot tub on the patio for you.

You can bring one dog. We've got bicycle storage if you're bringing bikes. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking right outside.

The farmland connects straight onto the Ystwyth Cycle Trail. It's over 16 miles long. For walking, you're right at the edge of the Cambrian Mountains. The Pumlumon range is to the north.

The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away in Pontrhydfendigaid. Tregaron is a few miles further. It's a small market town. The Rhiannon Welsh Gold Centre is there if you're interested. They have trotting races at the farm sometimes in the summer.

Aberystwyth is about a 25 minute drive. It's a university town with a promenade, the National Library, and a cliff railway. You can get the Vale of Rheidol steam train from there up to Devils Bridge.

Useful links if you're planning things to do: Visit Ceredigion, National Trust for Scotland Wales, and Cambrian Mountains Initiative.

Oh, and if you're coming with a group, the other two barns are identical. You can book all three together, as they interconnect. We also have stables and a paddock if you want to bring a horse on holiday.
