Yr Hen Stabl

Yr Hen Stabl is a converted stable on our farm. It's all on one floor. It looks out towards Cors Caron, the big bog land reserve.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor, which is useful. It's got a five star rating, which means it's comfortable and well finished. We allow two dogs. There's a walled garden and a fenced paddock where you can let them run.

You can walk straight from the door onto the footpath that goes right round the Cors Caron reserve. It's a proper loop, about four miles. The Ystwyth Trail for cycling is nearby too.

Tregaron is two miles away. It's a small town. It has a Co-op, a couple of pubs, a few cafes, and the Red Kite Centre. That's a good place to see the birds.

You're right in the middle of things here. The coast at Aberystwyth is about half an hour's drive. The university is there, and the promenade. Inland, you've got Strata Florida abbey and Devil's Bridge quite close. The steam railway runs from there down to the coast.

If you like walking or biking, the Elan Valley and the Bwlch Nant yr Arian forest are both within half an hour. Bwlch Nant yr Arian has a lake and they feed the red kites every day at 3pm.

Inside, there's a wood burner for cooler evenings. It's open plan. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside.
