Yr Hen Stabl is a barn we converted on our farm, Fullbrook. It's down a farm track, a couple of miles outside Tregaron. Looking out over the Cors Caron bog mostly. It's all on one floor.
It sleeps four, has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's comfortable and everything works as it should. It's just been done.
You have your own walled garden and we've kept a bit of the paddock fenced off too, so dogs can run around. There's a picnic bench out there. You can walk straight from the door onto a footpath that goes right round the Cors Caron nature reserve.
Tregaron is two miles away for a shop, a couple of pubs, takeaways, that sort of thing.
If you want to get out, you're in a good spot for it. The Cambrian Mountains start just behind you. You can drive to Strata Florida abbey, or Devil's Bridge, or up the Rheidol valley to the steam railway in under half an hour.
Aberystwyth is about half an hour the other way. It's got the sea front, the pier, all the usual shops and places to eat.
The coast is good here. Some decent beaches if you don't mind a drive. About 30 minutes to get to the Ceredigion coast path.
For walkers, the Elan Valley reservoirs and Llyn Brianne are within reach. There's mountain bike trails at Bwlch y Rhiw near Ponterwyd.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. A wood burner, Wifi, a TV, a dishwasher and washing machine. Parking right outside. It's all bedding and towels included. We can provide a cot and highchair. And we accept up to two dogs.
