Ty Bach Twt

It's called Ty Bach Twt, near Llangeitho in Ceredigion. It's on our working sheep farm. It used to be the cowshed attached to the big barn.

It's for three people, but it's really best for two. There's one bedroom with the bed made up, and a sofa bed in the living area for an extra person. The bedroom has its own shower room. Everything is on one floor, which makes it straightforward.

You get your own bit outside, a little enclosed courtyard with a table and chairs. It's a good spot. Red kites get fed nearby and often fly over.

It's a 3 Star place. It's clean and has what you need: a washing machine, TV, WiFi, all the bedding and towels. You can bring one dog. There's parking right there.

The village is about a mile away. There's a shop and a café there, and a pub that does food. Tregaron is three miles further on. It's a proper little market town with shops, a couple of places to eat, and the Rhiannon Welsh Gold Centre.

Just past Tregaron is Cors Caron, a big nature reserve with a boardwalk you can walk on. It's good for a stroll. If you like walking or cycling, there are paths everywhere around here. The Cambrian Mountains are on your doorstep. Strata Florida Abbey is a short drive away, those are the ruins of an old monastery.

The coast is about half an hour by car. Aberystwyth has a long promenade and a pier. You can get the cliff railway up the hill or take the steam train to Devil's Bridge. New Quay and Aberaeron are nice harbour towns. You can sometimes see dolphins from the shore in New Quay, or you can book a boat trip. Aberaeron is known for its honey ice cream.

Useful links if you're planning things: Visit Ceredigion for the local area, and Cambrian Mountains for inland walks. For the nature reserve, see Natural Resources Wales for Cors Caron.
