Cob Cottage is on our farm near Llanddewi Brefi. It's attached to our farmhouse, so you might hear us or the dogs sometimes. We're a working sheep farm, so you'll see sheep in the fields. You get buzzards and red kites flying over the valley most days.
It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. One has a king-size bed. The other has a zip-and-link bed that's made up as a super king, plus a single bed.
Downstairs is all one space. The kitchen is big, with a dishwasher and washing machine. The dining table is at one end. There are French doors that open into a conservatory, which looks straight out over the fields and the River Teifi. The living room has a sofa bed and an electric stove that looks like a wood burner.
Outside, there's a decked area and a patio with a table, chairs, and a barbecue. You can park three cars. If you have bikes, we can put them in the barn.
We're flexible on changeover days. We can sometimes do evening meals or breakfasts if you arrange it with us beforehand. If you're coming by train to Aberystwyth or Lampeter, we can pick you up.
The village, Llanddewi Brefi, is about a mile and a half away. It's got a shop and two pubs. Tregaron is three miles. That's where the Red Kite feeding centre is, which is worth a visit. Lampeter, which is a university town, is eight miles away.
You're right in the middle of the Cambrian Mountains here. There's a footpath from the cottage that goes into the village. For walking, the coast at Aberaeron or New Quay is about half an hour's drive. The Dolaucothi Gold Mines are nearby, as is the National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, a cot, all bedding and towels included. The garden is enclosed. We allow up to two dogs.
