Bwthyn Celyn Pontrhydfendigaid

Bwthyn Celyn is one of three cottages on our farm. It's at Dolyrychain Farm, near Pontrhydfendigaid in Ceredigion. We're a working sheep and beef farm with about 140 acres.

The cottage sleeps two. One bedroom, two bathrooms. That's because one is an en-suite. It's got the 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. It's open-plan downstairs with a wood burner. There's underfloor heating too, so it's cosy. We supply the logs.

Your cottage has its own private hot tub on the patio. That's just for you. There's a BBQ out there as well. You can bring one dog.

The farm links straight onto the Ystwyth Trail. It's a traffic-free path for walking and cycling, about 16 miles long. You can get straight on it from the gate. The Cambrian Mountains are right there. The views are good.

Tregaron is the nearest town, about three miles. It's a Welsh market town. They have a Co-op for groceries. The Rhiannon Welsh Gold Centre is there if you're interested. The big trotting race meetings are actually held here on the farm fields in the summer.

Aberystwyth is about a 25-minute drive. You've got the promenade, the castle, and the National Library of Wales there. The Vale of Rheidol Railway goes from there up to Devil's Bridge. It's a steam train through the valley.

Facilities: you've got the hot tub, BBQ, wood burner, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. There's a shared games room with a pool table and table tennis in one of the other farm buildings, which you're welcome to use. The other two cottages are similar. They can be booked together if you're a bigger group, as they interconnect.
