This is Bwthyn Celyn. It’s one of three converted barns on our farm near Pontrhydfendigaid. It’s a working farm, mostly sheep and some beef cattle.
The barn sleeps two. One bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and there’s another bathroom downstairs. It’s got a 5 Star rating. It’s modern inside, with a high ceiling, leather sofa, and a wood burner. It's open plan. Everything is included, towels and bedding too.
Outside, you have your own patio with a table and a barbecue. And there’s a private hot tub.
The farm is about 140 acres. You can walk around the fields. There are horses here, and you can bring your own if you arrange it beforehand. We have stables and a paddock. The Ystwyth Cycle Trail runs right from the farm gate. It’s about 16 miles long and follows the old railway line.
You’re in the Cambrian Mountains here. The views are good. It’s very quiet. You can see Pumlumon to the north.
The nearest shop and pub are in Pontrhydfendigaid, about a mile away. Tregaron is a short drive. It’s a proper Welsh market town. The Rhiannon Welsh Gold shop and gallery is there. They have trotting races here on the farm sometimes, it’s a big event.
Aberystwyth is about half an hour by car. You can walk the promenade, visit the National Library, or take the cliff railway. The Vale of Rheidol Railway goes from there up to Devil’s Bridge.
You can bring one dog. There’s parking right outside. The other two barns are identical, and we can open the connecting doors between them if a bigger group books all three.
