This is Fir Trees in Crowborough. It's a detached house, so no one attached to the side of you. Sleeps eight, four bedrooms. Has four bathrooms, which is useful with that many people.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-finished and maintained. The living space is open plan. There's a decent garden that's enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids.
It's got things like a dishwasher and washing machine, which you'd expect. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cinema room, which is a bit of a novelty, but people seem to like it.
The house is on the edge of the High Weald area. Ashdown Forest is on your doorstep, really. It's good for walks, and yes, the Pooh Bridge is up there if that's your thing.
Crowborough has shops and a few pubs. It's a sensible town. For a proper day out, Tunbridge Wells is about twenty minutes by car. The coast at Eastbourne is under half an hour. Brighton is about forty minutes if you fancy that.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive.
For planning walks or days out, the National Trust South East page is useful, and the Ashdown Forest site has maps and information.
