The Parlour is in Hadlow Down, near Five Ashes. It used to be a barn on our property, but it's separate and you won't see us unless you need to. It's detached and sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and finished nicely. The main room is open plan: kitchen area, a sofa, and a dining table. The ceiling is high. The kitchen has a microwave and a hot plate, not a full oven. Good for simple meals.
The bedroom is off the back. It has a super king bed, which we can split into twins if you ask beforehand. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The entrance is level, so it's accessible if you have mobility issues.
You get a little courtyard garden with a table and chairs. It's private. There's one parking space right next to it.
The area is quiet and rural. Good walking from the door. Heathfield is a few minutes' drive for shops. Tunbridge Wells is about 20 minutes. The coast at Eastbourne or Hastings is around 45 minutes.
A few places you might want to look up for a day trip: Batemans, which was Rudyard Kipling's house, is close. So is Scotney Castle. For the history, Battle Abbey is about half an hour's drive.
The Wi-Fi works. Bedding and towels are included. No pets. That's about it.
