The Parlour is our converted barn. It's in Five Ashes, near Heathfield. You're down a lane from the main house, so it's quiet.
It's all on one level and is good for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bedroom has a super king bed we can split into twins if you ask. The ceiling is high, so it feels quite light. There's a sofa, a TV, and a small kitchen area with a microwave and hot plates, not a full oven. There's a washing machine too.
Outside, there's a private courtyard garden with a table. Parking is right next to it.
Hadlow Down is a couple of miles away for a pub and a shop. Heathfield has more shops and supermarkets, that's about ten minutes by car.
For a day out, you've got a few options within half an hour. Batemans, Rudyard Kipling's old place, is nearby. So is Scotney Castle. Battle Abbey is about twenty five minutes away, that's English Heritage. If you want the coast, Eastbourne and Hastings are about a forty minute drive.
Everything is included, bedding, towels, electricity. The place is accessible with no steps at the entrance and the walk-in shower. No pets.
