Lavender Cottage
Lavender Cottage is a converted barn near Okehampton in Folly Gate. It's one of three barns here at Goldburn Barns.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have king-size beds that can be split into twins if you need them to. There's one bathroom with a bath and a separate shower cubicle. It has a 4 Star rating.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a TV and WiFi. The stairs are a standard flight, not steep.
Outside, there's a patio area at the front and a courtyard at the back, both with furniture. You get parking right outside, and there's an electric vehicle charger. You can store bikes.
It's a quiet spot. Abbeyford Woods is a short walk away, good for a stroll by the river. Because there's not much light around, you get a good view of the stars at night.
The Tarka Trail cycle path runs right past the property. It's on the Sustrans network if you want to plan a longer ride.
You're on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Okehampton itself is a few minutes' drive. The castle there is worth a look. National Trust places like Lydford Gorge and Castle Drogo are within half an hour.
The north Devon coast, like Bude or Westward Ho!, is about a 30 minute drive if you want a beach day.
There's a country pub that does food just over a mile away.
We provide bedding and towels. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets.
