Snowdrop Cottage
Snowdrop Cottage is in Jacobstowe. It's a thatched cottage, about four hundred years old. You get a small garden at the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles. One bathroom with a shower cubicle. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The ceilings are low in places, which is normal for a place this old. Mind your head.
The village is quiet. There's a pub about a mile away. For shops, you'll need to drive. Hatherleigh is a few miles one way, Okehampton a few miles the other. Both have supermarkets.
You're about twenty minutes from the edge of Dartmoor. Good for walking. The Tarka Trail is close by for cycling. Dartmoor National Park has details on walks and access.
For a day out, the coast at Westward Ho! or Saunton Sands is about forty minutes' drive. Okehampton Castle is ruin, managed by English Heritage. You can book tickets on their site.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for one car on the lane outside. We provide bedding and towels. A cot and highchair are in the cupboard under the stairs. We accept one well-behaved dog.
