The Threshing Barn is in Corscombe, on a farm just outside Belstone. It's not a working farm anymore. It's a big stone building, a Grade II listed barn conversion. It sleeps two.
It's got one bedroom with a kingsize bed, and one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done to a high standard. It's all open-plan inside, so it's one big space for the kitchen, dining and living area. There's a wood burner. The style is quite modern industrial, with some exposed brick and metal. There's a table football game. The stairs inside are a spiral staircase, just so you know.
Outside, there's a private balcony off the living area and a separate garden section lower down. You share the main grounds, which are about four and a half acres. There's a woodland kitchen area and a stone fire pit in a glade that all guests can use. From Whitsun to September, there's also a shared outdoor swimming pool and sauna open during the day.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor. Belstone Tor is the hill you can see. You can walk straight from the property into the woods and onto the moor. You might see deer in the meadow. The village of Belstone is a walk away and has a pub.
Okehampton is about a ten minute drive. It has a castle, shops, and supermarkets. For a wider day out, the whole of Dartmoor National Park is on your doorstep. The coast at places like Westward Ho! is about a forty minute drive.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, parking, bedding and towels included, wood burner, BBQ. No pets.
There are two other cottages on the same site, so larger groups can book them together.
