It's called Bents Retreat and it's in Montrose. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one level. That makes it pretty straightforward.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. There's a wood burner in the living room for when it gets chilly.
You're about a mile from Montrose beach. It's a long, sandy beach, good for a walk. The town itself has the usual shops and a few places to eat. There's a pub not far away.
If you're into birds, the Montrose Basin Wildlife Reserve is right there. For history, Dunnottar Castle is about a twenty minute drive south. It's worth seeing. The House of Dun, which is National Trust, is even closer.
Montrose has a golf course if that's your thing. For a bigger town, Aberdeen is about an hour's drive up the coast.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. There's parking and a garden. You can bring one dog.
For planning trips, the Aberdeenshire Council Coastal page has good local walking information, and National Trust for Scotland Dunnottar Castle page is useful for tickets.
