Victoria

This is the Victoria apartment. It's on the first floor of the old water tower in Montrose. It sleeps two, and has two bedrooms and a bathroom.

It's a four-star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The rooms are bright because of the big windows, and you get a view out over the fields. The kitchen is open to the living and dining space.

Keep in mind it's an old water tower conversion. The stairs up to the front door are the original metal ones, so they can be a bit noisy and they're not sheltered. Once you're inside, it's all on one level.

You can bring up to three dogs. There's parking right there. It has all the usual things like wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.

The place is detached, so no neighbours through the walls. There's a pub about a fifteen-minute walk away.

Montrose itself is a proper coastal town. The beach is very long and sandy. The Montrose Basin is right there for watching birds. You can walk around it.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got the House of Dun for a look around a big old house and gardens. The Angus glens start inland from here if you want to go for a hill walk. Golfers know Montrose has some of the oldest links in the world.

If you want to plan trips further out, the National Trust for Scotland site is useful.
