Straton Cottage is in St Cyrus. It's detached, but there are two other properties nearby. It's up on a hill, so you get good views out to sea.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The living room has a wood burner and high ceilings. There's a private garden at the back, which is enclosed.
The walk down to the beach starts right from the cottage. It's steep and winding, and takes about 15-20 minutes. The beach itself is a good one: sandy, with rock pools. You can sometimes see dolphins or seals from the shore. For more organised wildlife spotting, Montrose Basin is close by. It's known for geese in winter.
You've got a shop and a pub about a mile away in the village. Montrose is a short drive. It has golf courses and other facilities. Dundee is about half an hour away if you want museums like the V&A Dundee.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. It's listed as having a wheelchair accessible entrance, but the terrain outside is steep and uneven, so best to check details if that's important. We accept up to two dogs.
