Straton Cottage
This is Straton Cottage, near St Cyrus.
It's a detached cottage up on the hill. You get brilliant sea views from the garden. The walk down to the beach is lovely, but I need to tell you, it's steep. It's a proper path, but it's a decent incline. It takes about fifteen minutes. You're in your own garden, but there's one cottage on each side.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, so that helps. It has a four star rating. It's comfortable, with a wood burner in the main living room.
There's a pub and a shop about a mile away. The beach itself is a nature reserve, run by NatureScot. You can often see dolphins and seals from the shore. If you're interested in birdwatching, Montrose Basin is very close.
Montrose is about ten minutes by car. There are shops, a couple of golf courses, and things like that. If you fancy a day out, Dundee is under forty minutes away. The V&A Dundee is there, and the RRS Discovery. Aberdeen is about forty five minutes the other way.
Facilities wise, it's got most things covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. The garden is enclosed. It says it's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
