Seashore Retreat Johnshaven

Seashore Retreat is in Johnshaven, right on the sea front. It's a detached bungalow, so it's all on one level, which is handy. The view is straight out to sea. You can see it from the living room through the patio doors, or from the decking outside.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It has a 4 Star rating. It's clean, tidy, and comfortable. Not huge, but it's well set up and you're not really here to sit inside.

The main thing is the location. You step out of the back gate onto the coastal path or the beach. The beach is stones, not sand. You can hear the sea from the garden and the bedrooms. There's a summer house in the garden, which is a good spot if it's a bit breezy.

The village itself is small. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about a quarter of a mile away. It's quiet. You're here for the coast.

If you want to go out, Stonehaven and Montrose are about 15 minutes' drive either way. Dunnottar Castle, which is very dramatic, is about 12 miles away near Stonehaven. Catterline is a short drive along the coast for a walk or some food.

Aberdeen and Dundee are both less than an hour away by car if you need a city or the train station.

What's here: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the cottage and an enclosed garden. No pets, sorry.
