Fifie Cottage

Fifie Cottage is in Johnshaven, right on the harbour front. It's a detached, whitewashed fisherman's cottage, so it's not huge but it's yours. The garden out the front is fenced in. You can sit there and watch the harbour.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has full-size bunk beds. They're proper bunks, fine for adults. One bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining, living area all together. There's underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. It's a warm, dry house.

The harbour and beach are basically outside. The village has a shop, a pub, and a lobster shop on the harbour. The pub, the Anchor Hotel, is about 200 yards away and does food.

Stonehaven is about a 15 minute drive up the coast. They have an outdoor heated swimming pool that's open in summer. Dunnottar Castle is just outside Stonehaven. It's a spectacular ruin on the cliffs. Worth the trip.

Aberdeen and Dundee are both within an hour's drive if you need a city or bigger shops. Inland, the Angus Glens are good for walking. About half an hour to get into that sort of scenery.

Facilities: it's all on one level so there are no stairs. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. No pets, sorry.
