Fifie Cottage

Fifie Cottage is on the harbour in Johnshaven. It's a whitewashed cottage, detached. You can see the sea from the front.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has full-size bunk beds that are fine for adults. There's underfloor heating and a wood burning stove, so it's warm.

The living area is all open plan. Kitchen, dining, lounge. It's a decent space. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The front garden is fenced, with some raised flower beds and a seat. You can sit there and watch the harbour.

The village is small. There's a pub, the Anchor Hotel, about 200 yards away. They do food. A shop called the Lobster Shop on the harbour sells fresh crab and lobster to take away. The beach is about 300 yards.

If you want to go out, Stonehaven is along the coast. They have an outdoor heated pool that's open in the summer. Dunnottar Castle is there too, up on the cliffs. It's a good ruin. Dunnottar Castle.

Aberdeen and Dundee are both less than an hour's drive. For walking, the Angus Glens are to the west, about half an hour. There's golf at Montrose, which is fifteen minutes away.

Facilities: It has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. No pets.
