Sweet Hope is in St Cyrus. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one level. That's handy if you don't want stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. Sleeps five, three bedrooms, one bathroom. The layout is straightforward.
The big thing here is the location. You're about a five minute walk from the edge of the cliffs looking over St Cyrus beach. It's a beautiful sandy beach. The way down is from the church path, but it's steep. If you'd rather not do that, you can drive a couple of minutes to the car park at the nature reserve for an easier route. The cliffs and dunes are a National Nature Reserve. We've left some binoculars there. You often see porpoises out in the water, and peregrine falcons on the cliffs.
The house has big picture windows in the living room, so it's light. There's an enclosed garden with a lawn and some trees. It gets the sun. Inside there's a wood burning stove, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking on site.
The village has a shop, a cafe, and a hotel that does food, all about half a mile away. For bigger shops, Montrose is about ten minutes south by car and Stonehaven is about fifteen minutes north. Both are proper seaside towns with golf courses. If you fancy a walk inland, the Angus Glens are about a half hour drive. Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven is worth the trip.
