The Shepherd's Hut
The Shepherd's Hut is in Dun, near Montrose. It's detached and sits in its own bit of space. You're in the countryside here. It's quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not roughing it. It's on the glamping side of things. There's a wood-fired hot tub and a fire pit outside.
The nearest shop and pub are a couple of miles away. You'll want a car. Montrose is about four miles. It has a good sandy beach and a leisure centre. The Montrose Basin wildlife centre is worth a look, especially for the geese in winter.
For beaches, Lunan Bay and St Cyrus are both within about a twenty-minute drive. They're big, sandy, and good for walks.
If you like walking inland, the Angus Glens are about a thirty-minute drive. They're the start of the hills. For golf, there's a course in Montrose and plenty more along the coast.
Dundee is about forty minutes south. Aberdeen is about forty-five minutes north. Both have the usual city things: shops, museums, restaurants.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, parking right outside, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. It books separately from the bigger house next door, or together with it.
