The Garden Rooms
The Garden Rooms is where you'll be staying. It's one of five cottages here in the grounds of Old Montrose House, which is our home. You'll see the main house from your windows. We're right next to the Montrose Basin nature reserve, so you'll see plenty of birds.
It's a 5 Star property, which means it's been finished to a high standard. It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. We allow up to two dogs.
The building used to be the potting shed. We converted it. One half is a very big conservatory, so you're sitting right in the garden. The other half has the kitchen, shower room, and the bedroom. The bedroom is a decent size.
All the guests here can use our walled garden. It's enclosed. There's also a hard tennis court and a little putting green. The Garden Rooms has its own patio area too.
You're about three and a half miles from Montrose town centre. There's a shop, a pub, and restaurants there. The beach is about the same distance. It's a big sandy beach. If you walk from the cottage, you can be on the coastal path or down by the Basin in a few minutes.
Within half an hour's drive, you've got Lunan Bay and St Cyrus for beaches. Arbroath is along the coast. For golf, Carnoustie is about 25 minutes away. There are dozens of courses around here if that's your thing.
In terms of what's here: there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. The property has level access and is wheelchair friendly. Parking is right outside.
