Lauderdale Apartment
Lauderdale Apartment is part of Kinnaird Castle, north of Dundee. It's a first floor flat in a castle. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite. It's a 5 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The main living area is open plan, kitchen and sitting room together. The bedrooms are large, with old family furniture in them. The water pressure is good and there's plenty of hot water.
The castle grounds are about 7,000 acres. You can walk around them on paths that go down to the river and the lake. There are red squirrels and lots of birds. You can use the tennis court on site. The roads around the estate are quiet for cycling.
They leave you some basic food for when you arrive: bread, butter, jam, cereals, bacon, eggs, that sort of thing. You can also ask for a proper meal to be left for you to heat up.
It's a rural spot. The nearest pub, shop, or restaurant is about three miles away in Brechin. The coast at Lunan Bay is about seven miles. For a bigger town, Dundee is roughly half an hour by car.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside. The facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them.
