Lauderdale Apartment
Lauderdale Apartment is in Kinnaird, Angus. It's a first-floor flat inside Kinnaird Castle. You're right in the middle of the estate.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. They're all big rooms, and they all have their own en-suite bathrooms, which is useful. Plenty of hot water. The living area is open plan with the kitchen. It's a straightforward space for cooking and sitting around.
The castle grounds are there for you to use. There are paths to walk, a tennis court, and cycle routes. You're likely to see red squirrels and a lot of birds from the estate.
They leave you a welcome pack with basics like bread, eggs, bacon, and milk. You can also arrange for them to leave a supper for your first night, which saves you cooking after you arrive.
There's parking right there. You can bring up to two dogs. They also have things like a cot and a highchair if you need them.
You're a few miles from Brechin for shops and a pub. The coast at Montrose is about seven miles away. The beach there is sandy and long.
If you want to go out for the day, you're not far from things. There's golf locally. The RSPB reserve at Montrose Basin is good for birdwatching. National Trust for Scotland's Glaslaw is nearby for walks. You can get to Dundee or Aberdeen in under an hour if you want a city trip.
