The Old Gasworks Building
The Old Gasworks Building is, as it sounds, converted from the old gasworks. It's on our land, next to Montrose Basin. It's detached, so you won't have anyone sharing walls with you.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's useful. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's well finished and comfortable. It's not huge, but it's got everything you need.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have a dog or kids. You get parking right there. We've also got a big walled garden, a hard tennis court, and a putting green on the estate that all guests can use. They're just there if you fancy it.
You're right on the edge of the Montrose Basin Nature Reserve. It's a big tidal basin for wading birds. You can walk straight out onto the paths from the cottage. For a proper beach, Lunan Bay is about ten minutes by car. St Cyrus beach is roughly twenty minutes.
Montrose town is a few miles away. It's got shops, pubs, and a long sandy beach. If you're a golfer, there are loads of courses around. Carnoustie is about 40 minutes drive. St Andrews is just over an hour.
Inside, it's got the standard things: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. The entrance is step-free and the doors are wide, so it works for wheelchair users.
You can bring one dog. We just ask that you keep it off the furniture and clean up after it.
