Gardener's Cottage Old Montrose

This is Gardener's Cottage. It's in the grounds of Old Montrose House, which is where I live. The cottage is detached and it's in a quiet spot in the garden.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The layout is upside-down, so the living area is upstairs. That gives you a better view over the garden.

You have your own private, enclosed garden and a patio area right outside the main bedroom. It gets the sun. Guests can also use the big walled garden here, which has a hard tennis court and a small putting green.

The cottage is right next to the Montrose Basin Nature Reserve. It's good for birdwatching. Montrose town centre is about a ten-minute drive. There's a shop, pub, and restaurants there. The beach is about three and a half miles.

If you're looking for things to do, there are over 30 golf courses within an hour's drive, including Carnoustie and St Andrews. Good beaches like Lunan Bay and St Cyrus are about a 20-minute drive. For walks and local history, the National Trust for Scotland has properties nearby, and information about the Montrose Basin is useful.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and highchair if needed. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. There's parking right outside.
